The Duke Spirit - We love the way these London-based rockers have taken the “spirit” of classic rock (of the Americana and soul variety) and added a dose of slick modern edge—as evidenced on their acclaimed album Neptune. We’re also big fans of singer Liela Moss’s powerful, husky Joplin-esque vocals. Taking time out of their busy schedule, Moss and guitarists Dan Higgins and Toby Butler dropped by our Los Angeles studio to perform stripped down versions of their tunes “Step and the Walk,” “Into the Fold,” and “Dog Roses.”

Matt Costa was on the path to becoming a professional skateboarder before an unfortunate skating accident. Lucky for us, he made a full recovery and discovered that he was just as adept on his guitar as on his board.
Having just released their acclaimed fourth album Lust, Lust, Lust, The Raveonettes took time out from a hectic world tour to record these rare acoustic sessions in our studio.
