Ingrid Michaelson - New York-based singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson has a voice that exudes emotion, sensuality and plenty of old-timey style. Her minimalist songs seem readymade for acoustic performance, so, of course, we jumped at the chance to have her come into the studio. After dishing out a pair of EPs in 2008--"Cold War" and "New York Hospitals"--the Antlers self-released the full-length set "Hospice" in early 2009. The album tells the story of a man losing a loved one to bone cancer, and staying by her side in the hospital as she's dying.
The Los Angeles-based alt-rock band took a break from their big U.S. tour alongside Buckcherry and Avenged Sevenfold to do a stripped-down set in our humble studio.
