The Airborne Toxic Event - Los Angeles-based indie band Airborne Toxic Event write songs so melodic and emotion-charged you couldn’t shake them out of your head if you tried. Not that you’d want to. After dishing out a pair of EPs in 2008--"Cold War" and "New York Hospitals"--the Antlers self-released the full-length set "Hospice" in early 2009. The album tells the story of a man losing a loved one to bone cancer, and staying by her side in the hospital as she's dying.
